SAP unveils a set of AI governance tools at TechEd
Enterprise AI Gateway, an AI Governance Assistant and more aim to let companies govern AI agents while they run.
At SAP TechEd, SAP introduced a set of solutions and features focused on AI governance. They include SAP Enterprise AI Gateway, access to large language models on SAP Sovereign Cloud, architecture-context features in SAP LeanIX, and an AI Governance Assistant.
The common thread is moving from after-the-fact checks to proactive governance: companies can oversee AI agents and models at runtime and keep the audit trail compliance teams need.
Why it matters: once AI agents touch finance, procurement or HR data in the ERP, “who controls the agent?” stops being optional. SAP customers can use this toolkit as a reference for an AI governance framework before scaling up.
